State-of-the-art facilities
The college houses a fully equipped print newsroom, a new media lab with the latest web-based software packages, and modern television and radio studios.
The print newsroom has computers and workstations with the
latest writing and production software, including QuarkXPress and page-and photo-layouts. It also has direct-dial telephones, a collection of standard reference works, and news agency terminals.
The fully digital broadcast facility can handle the whole range of
TV and Radio news production and post-production. It comprises two
acoustically designed TV multi-camera shooting floors and a radio
studio. It has a non- heating lighting grid, a composite production
control panel that can handle several online and offline sources,
linear and non-linear edit suites with graphics and special effects, Electronic News Gathering (ENG) kits for outdoor TV shoots, and minidisc recorders for radio work.
All students have access to computers with high speed connectivity, LAN networking, and software packages.
